How to take a Stay-cation!

While another day inside the house might not strike you as the most exciting thing, make the most of it by switching up your routine. Take a getaway from quarantine - while staying inside of your own home!

Get creative and spice up your time at home by taking an in-home vacation - if it's the weekend and you don't have to do any work, treat yourself to some relaxation and fun. Trade-in your day-to-day tasks and make time for activities you would not have planned to do.

Here are a few simple ideas to get started:

In the morning, let yourself sleep in and have some breakfast in bed. If you've been in sweats all week, have some fun and play dress up for the day. Or if you are tired of getting ready, then own those pajamas!

Take the daytime to pick up an activity you have been wanting to try - dabble in some painting, graphic design, or learn to knit; now is the time to try something new! Maybe opt for something leisurely like reading a new book or watching something exciting that just came out on Netflix, or take the chance to reread/rewatch one of your favorites, just don't forget the popcorn!

For dinner, play chef, and cook up a meal you have been craving recently; go ahead and treat yourself to some pasta and wine. Or if you just aren't in the mood to cook, order some takeout from your favorite local restaurant (meanwhile supporting small businesses!).

And of course, a vacation would not be complete without a self-care night: face masks and bubble bath required. Paint your nails a unique color you wouldn't typically go for, or even dye your hair a new color - get creative with it!

Quarantine might not be ideal, but it certainly doesn't have to be boring!
